Pet Registration

Licensing your pet as a responsible pet owner is good for you, your pet, and your community. Pet licensing requirements are enumerated within Edmonds Municipal Code 5.05 but the benefits of proper licensure go well beyond.

  • A pet license can be the quickest way to reunite you and your pet if they become lost. Animal Control Officers and other Edmonds police staff have 24/7 access to Edmonds pet licensing data to quickly locate owner information.
  • Fast reunification often avoids costs of a trip to the animal shelter.
  • A pet license is inexpensive and much cheaper than the $205 fine for failing to license a pet.
  • License fees help support Animal Services within your community.
