Volunteer Position: Beach Docent

Beach Docents volunteer for two to three - hour shifts from Memorial Day through Labor Day at the Olympic Beach Visitor Station, where they play a key role in station operations. In addition to greeting visitors and providing information to the public, Volunteer Beach Docents help Ranger-Naturalists monitor the plants and animals in the 75-gallon marine touch tank and deliver other engaging interpretive programs for all ages. Being a Volunteer Docent is a great way to learn about marine life, meet new people, and help protect the Puget Sound by inspiring awareness and conservation. Applications are accepted year round, and applicants must be at least 16 years of ageFor more information, contact the Program Coordinator
