The Citizen Liaison Program is part of the City's efforts to build positive relationships between citizens and government. The program provides you with a reliable, one-point contact to answer questions, access services, or if necessary, assist with problem resolution. Its purpose is to ensure that every person having contact with the City of Edmonds receives the best service possible.
Who Can Take Advantage of The Program?
Anyone. Whether you're a resident, student, business person, or member of a neighborhood or community organization, the Citizen Liaison is your direct connection to City Hall.
How The Program Works
If you need information and aren't sure where to find it, call the Citizen Liaison. He/she will make sure you get the information you need.
If you have a concern that involves a specific department, we encourage you to start with the department director before you contact the Citizen Liaison. Because department directors have specialized knowledge, they can usually quickly solve your concern. We have found that most complaints are resolved with a fact-finding effort by the department involved.
If the department director is unable to resolve the matter to your satisfaction, call the Citizen Liaison. The Liaison will listen to your concerns and work with you to find a solution. They are your point-of-contact; they will research the issue and keep you informed throughout the resolution process.
