As an Edmonds and Snohomish County resident you may be eligible for senior citizen discounts on your property taxes and combined utility bills:
- Snohomish County Property Taxes - Based on your age and income level, you may be eligible for tax exemptions and deferrals on your property taxes each year.
- Olympic View Water & Sewer District - Edmonds residents served by Olympic View Water & Sewer District may be eligible for a low-income senior's discount.
- Snohomish PUD - PUD offers senior and low-income discounts on your electric bills; visit their Discount Programs page to see if you qualify.
Did you know that Snohomish County PUD will not turn off your electricity if the temperature is near 32 degrees?
- The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) usually opens around November 15 (depending on the availability of funding) and closes when funds are spent, usually around April 1. This component helps with all fuel types and has a maximum benefit of $1,000.
- The Puget Sound Energy HELP program is usually open from October 1 to September 15 and has a maximum benefit of $1,000.
- The Cascade Natural Gas Washington Energy Assistance Fund (WEAF) program is usually open from October 1 to September 15 and has a maximum benefit of $500.
