2004 Survey of Historic Places - An initial survey of historic sites in the downtown area was completed in 2004-2005 by BOLA Architects; the survey identified sites that have historical value and are potentially eligible for listing in the Edmonds Register of Historic Places. A copy of the survey can be downloaded here (3 MB ). Also available are a map (234 KB ) and simple list of the sites surveyed. The survey included 83 sites.

2011 Reconnaissance Survey of Historic Places - This survey by the Johnson Partnership expanded on the earlier 2004 survey by adding more downtown sites and expanding the surveyed area to other parts of the city. A total of 122 sites were included in the survey. A copy of the survey report can be downloaded here (6.2MB ), along with a map (373 KB ) of the sites surveyed.

2015 Reconnaissance Survey of Historic Places - This update provided additional reconnaisance as well as more intensive-level survey details and information on mid-century architecture. The survey report is available here(1 MB ), along with a map (193 KB ). A presentation by the consultant (SHKS Architects) is also viewable here(4.5MB ).

Register of Historic Places - The Edmonds Historic Preservation Commission maintains the Edmonds Register of Historic Places, listing sites that have been formally "designated" as historic places in Edmonds. There are a number of potential benefits available to properties listed on the Edmonds Register of Historic Places.
