The Lake Ballinger monitoring system provides Citizens and City staff with 24-hour access to the current lake level. The data is updated every 5 minutes.
Yellow Alert Level: Set at elevation 278.61 feet. This elevation corresponds to a lake level that is 1 foot below the lowest finished floor elevation of any home on the lake. When this lake level is reached, residents on the lake with homes close to the shoreline should begin to take precautions.
Orange Alert Level: Set at elevation 279.11 ft. This elevation corresponds to a lake level that is 6 inches below the lowest finished floor elevation of any home on the lake. When this lake level is reached, residents on the lake with homes close to the shoreline should definitely begin to take precautions.
Red Alert Level: Set at elevation 279.61ft. This elevation corresponds to the lowest finished floor elevation of a home on the lake.
Sand and bags are available to residents at the Operations & Maintenance Center of the Edmonds Public Works & Utilities Department located 7110 210th St SW between the hours of 7:00am to 4:00pm. Call ahead at 425-771-0235.
Residents on the lake will not receive emails or other communications regarding the lake level. This webpage is intended to provide residents with this information whenever needed. All elevations are reference to the following datum: National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929 (NGVD29). While data provided here is in NGVD29 data, all new projects must utilize the NAVD88 datum and will require conversion to the new datum before project approval.
