City of Edmonds is required to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to carefully evaluate potential effects of the additional growth and overall plan for the next 20 years as a part of the Comprehensive Plan Periodic Update.
The Draft EIS considers potential impacts of growth alternatives on air, water resources, plants and animals, land use patterns and environmental justice. EIS analyzes the plans and policies, housing, population and employment, aesthetics, community and culture, transportation, and utilities.
Once the DRAFT EIS is published, public will have an opportunity to review the entire document and provide detailed comments.
