Description

The Planning Board serves in an advisory capacity to the City in regional and local planning, and assists in the development of the comprehensive plan and zoning ordinances. The board also advises the Mayor and City Council on the acquisition and development of all city parks and recreation facilities.

Board members are appointed by the Mayor with Council confirmation. Terms are for four years with no term limits. Terms less than two years are not considered full terms. Edmonds residency is required on all Planning Board positions.

Meeting Schedule

The Planning Board is scheduled to meet the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 7 p.m. in the Brackett Room, 3rd Floor of City Hall at 121 5th Ave N. (Planning Board Meetings are now Hybrid in-person/remote Zoom and subject to change – please check the meeting calendar.)

IMPORTANT:
Planning Board meeting formats are being modified to be held in-person and remotely via Zoom. Remote and in-person participation is now an option.
Information on joining this remote meeting is contained on the face of the Planning Board agenda. PLEASE NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY REMOTELY JOIN THIS MEETING VIA ZOOM WHILE THE MEETING IS IN PROGRESS; THE MEETING BEGINS AT 7:00 PM ON THE SCHEDULED DAY.
